We know it’s exciting and for some a bit nerve-wracking to walk across the stage and shake your principal’s hand while hoards of people are watching!
Never mind all that! Remember these do’s and don’ts for a great photo! You deserve it and the photographer only has 1-2 seconds to capture this very important moment.
1. Walk. Don’t Run. Running messes everything up, really. You risk getting in the picture of the graduate preceding you!
Tassle in the face. Definitely not a good mantle-piece. The same goes for your hair, make sure it doesn’t get in front of your face!
2. Make sure you STOP to receive your diploma. This is the pinnacle moment. Look at the person handing you your diploma, and give a nice cheese for all you have accomplished.
DON’T DO THIS!
3. Eyes ahead. Lots of people will probably be shouting your name; your friends behind or ahead of you, other students still waiting to get in line, your family and friends in the audience. Make sure you aren’t looking at one of them when your picture gets taken! Where is this guy looking?
Make sure you look ahead! It’s so easy…
This moment can be cherished for a life time if you follow all of the above easy do’s and dont’s.
Other things to keep in mind!
-Make sure your gown isn’t wrinkled.
-If you can, take off your glasses before you walk across the stage. It will help with the glare caused by the flash!
– Smile, Smile, Smile! Why would you do anything else on this momentous occasion?
